Dr. Braat marked his 50th year in practice in the summer of 2016. He was born in Amsterdam, Holland and grew up on a dairy in Newberg. He has family around the state and married his wife Stephanie in 2010. The owner of Linn Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Braat first decided to become a veterinarian at age 8 and never waivered. He graduated from Washington State University with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1966 and is still an avid supporter of the school. His interests include sports and being outdoors when possible, but is especially committed to his clients and patients, both large and small. The staff at LVH is constantly amazed at Dr. Braat’s ability to recall patient names dating back many years.
He is a founding member of the Northwest Equine Practitioners Association and has served as Treasurer for many years. He is also a member of the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Equine Practitioners. A special area of interest is equine reproduction and he is also a member of the Society for Theriogenology.
Cynthia Rogers DVM
A 2013 graduate of Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Rogers joined Linn Veterinary Hospital right out of school. She primarily serves our dog and cat patients but will occasionally see horses, goats and sheep. She and her husband Steve have twin daughters.
Andrea Rusilowicz DVM
Dr. Rusilowicz is a 2017 graduate of Ross University. She is interested in small animal, large animal, and exotic medicine. She enjoys small animal surgery and diagnostic imaging. She has a cat named “Esmerelda” and a new puppy named “Almond” who she adopted from Safehaven Humane Society. She plays the piano and the trumpet. In good weather, she enjoys hiking and being outdoors.
Megan Mattravers, DVM
Dr. Mattravers graduated in 2017 from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine and received a bachelors degree in Animal Sciences at Oregon State prior to veterinary school. Dr. Mattravers grew up in Corvallis and continues to be active in local 4H programs as well as raising and showing Brittanys in AKC events . Aside from practicing both large and small animal medicine, her special interests include canine reproduction, sports medicine and equine dentistry. She enjoys spending time with her dogs, horse and fiance.
Andrew Beachy, DVM
Dr. Beachy grew up on a farm in Perrydale, Oregon. Over the years he has raised chickens, cattle, swine, and German Shepherd dogs.
Dr. Beachy graduated in 2017 from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine and he also has a bachelors degree in Animal Sciences from Oregon State. He sees both small and large animals including camelids and swine. Special interests include bovine pregnancy palpation, equine dentistry, and small animal surgery.
